What do I bring when I require a document to be witnessed?
This depends on the document being witnessed but generally you will need at least one photo identification document and if it is a Queensland Land Titles Office document that requires a witness, two forms of ID are required (passport and photo ID – if you do not have a passport, you will need your birth certificate, Medicare card and any change of name document if your name has changed since birth) and evidence of ownership of the land in the form of a title search or a rates notice or documents to show you have an entitlement to sign the form.
Does your office prepare wills?
Yes we prepare wills and have 4 solicitors in the office who can assist.
What are the costs of having a will and/or enduring power of attorney prepared?
Our fees to prepare a simple will is $440.00 inclusive of GST. For husband/wife or de facto partners, if you both attend our office together, we offer two wills at a discounted price of $770.00 inclusive of GST.
Our fees to prepare a general/enduring power of attorney is $330.00 inclusive of GST. As with the simple wills, for husband/wife or de facto partners, if you both attend our office together, we offer two powers of attorney at a discounted price of $550.00 inclusive of GST.
Where can I park my car when attending your office?
Parking can be located across the road (Island Drive) from our office in the Whitsunday Shopping Centre car park near Banjos Bar & Grill. Parking is free in that car park.
Is your office wheelchair accessible?
Yes our office is wheelchair accessible and there is a disabled park at the front of building from the drive way.
